Join us for the 2017 Adaptive Sports Fest, Sat., April 9, 2017 at Southern CT State Univ., 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Learn about dozens of sports at the annual Adaptive Sports Fest on Sunday, April 9th! The Gaylord Sports Association and the Institute for Adaptive Sports and Inclusive Recreation at Southern Connecticut State University are hosting the second annual Adaptive Sports Fest. This year we are also welcoming Chapter 126 Sports & Fitness as a co-host! This is a multi-sport event intended to introduce adaptive sports to individuals of all abilities through clinics, demonstrations, and an expo area. Demonstrations in the sports of wheelchair tennis, wheelchair rugby, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair lacrosse, and boccia are planned. This event is open to individuals with a physical disability or visual impairment, veterans with a disability, and any other individuals interested in learning more about adaptive sports. About Our Program and Events

The Sports Association is dedicated to improving the lives of persons with physical disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation. The Sports Association is a program of Gaylord Hospital and is based out of Wallingford, CT. We are a Paralympic Sport Club and chapter member of Disabled Sports USA. We serve individuals ages 16 and up with a physical disability or visual impairment.
